Professional Experience

Asbury Theological Seminary

6/06 – Present Visual Media Developer

  • Managed the Seminary’s websites (www.asburyseminary.edu) (3015 pages of content presented both internally and externally)
  • Created, designed and developed the Seminary’s custom portal system
  • Assisted with the integration of a single sign-on system
  • User interaction and interface design of Asbury’s Intranet.
  • Pushed for an advancement in next generation web technologies and social medias.
  • Pushed for the further use of web standards by converting the existing site to validating XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS 2.0.
  • Managed a small web team toward changes and upkeep of the Seminary’s website
  • Instruction and training of employees on the Content Management Systems and the custom portal
  • Lead the change from a traditionally managed website HTML based website to one driven by a Content Management System
  • Managed audio and video Podcasting for both of the Seminary’s campuses
  • Implemented live video streaming
  • Developed a user interface to facilitate simultaneous delivery of video in a remote classroom setting
  • Recorded and edited videos for distance learning applications
  • Started development on the Seminary’s new approach to the online classroom
  • Worked with the graphic designers to develop multiple editions of the main website as well as other sites
