Design Work

Overview

Design isn't simply about looks and aesthetics, it's about solving problems. While beauty is one of the problems to be considered it's not the end of the road. If you're interested in working with someone who understands that your site is unique, consisting of real problems and real solutions, then you have found the right place.

Though my day job is "Visual Media Developer" for Asbury Theological Seminary I also freelance as a designer for print, web and alternate or "new" media.

I have worked with various companies, individuals and organizations to develop the best solution for their particular needs.

Technologies and the Web

I design web sites according to web standards and best practices. Typically web sites I create are written in XHTML, CSS, PHP and Javascript. I also prefer to use a Content Management System so that the client can update his or her own website without my assistance. Occasionally there is a project that would be best served with additional Flash elements, in those cases Flash is used sparingly but in the best possible and appropriate manner.
