Survey for 2009
Apr 02, 2009 by David Brooks
I started work on LuzCannon.com back in 2005, somewhere around May or July. (The earliest articles have been removed; they weren’t all that great…) At the time I knew what I wanted to write about but I didn’t yet have the skills to do it as in-depth as I would have liked. But that didn’t stop me from writing some thoughts down here and there.
With May and July of 2009 approaching in just a few months, it occurred to me that four years is a long time on the internet. Well, not quite as long as it seems sometimes… It also occurred to me that I haven’t ever really asked anyone who reads the articles I write for feedback about them. I’m not fishing for compliments, rather I want to know about your expectations and how I’m actually meeting them. I also want to know what topics you like reading about and what topics you don’t.
I have thought about branching LuzCannon.com in a number of ways, but it doesn’t make sense if I don’t know anything about my readers and what they’re actually thinking. And if there isn’t really a continued interest, maybe I should consider a different path for this site.
So, if you have any thoughts, constructive criticism or just feedback in general, I have created a survey to help me gather information about your expectations. You’re also welcome to respond via email if you would prefer that to a survey. I said before that I wanted to make 2009 a landmark year for this site, but really I can’t do that without you all. I’ve always heard the best way to find out what someone thinks is just to ask them directly, so, what do you think?
