Prisoners of Hope
October 09, 2007
A few months ago my friend Jason McAnally and I started working on two songs for the CD “Prisoners of Hope.” The project is a collection of songs written by Charles Wesley, reworked in modern ways. This year marked the 300th anniversary of his birth. Our task was to recreate “Hark! the Herald Angels Sing” and “O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing,” which are two of Charles’ more famous songs. It was an honor to work on them.
Today I got word that you can pre-order the CD through the Asbury Theological Seminary bookstore for $15 plus shipping and handling. From what I understand there will also be a way to purchase the tracks through iTunes, but I don’t have that information just yet. For now, you can contact the bookstore to reserve your copy at 1.866.855.8252. Proceeds from this project will go towards student scholarships at Asbury Seminary.
I hope you enjoy the tracks, I know they were definitely fun to work with.
