Northward Compass
August 01, 2010
Let me start by saying this… I’m not quitting my day job at Fellowship Technologies. Nor does what I’m writing about have anything to do with my work there. But let me get back on topic… For awhile now I’ve been working on a few projects, things that don’t really mesh with the image of a one-man website/freelance setup. So, I’m proud to announce “Northward Compass,” my design/development/photography company.
I have a few projects that I don’t really want to talk about yet that are bigger, much bigger than a standard website. And it doesn’t really work to have “made by David” on the bottom of a large scale web application. Plus, I’m not going to be the only person working on this stuff, so it’s a bit misleading to have only my name attached.
One of the people that I should mention directly is my wife, Kerry, who has already been a huge help. She has a degree in Art History and a great perspective on the artistic side. She’s also an excellent Photographer, and we’ll be handling some of the photography sessions together.
I’m also going to bring some friends along to work with me on various projects, and again, it doesn’t seem like it would fit to claim all their hard work.
There isn’t much more to say about it, other than I’m thrilled to death to finally have it up and running.
