Inflatable Globes and Spelling
July 23, 2008
When we were packing things up at camp I happened to notice an interesting spelling on the inflatable globes. Apparently I had been spelling the Lone Star State’s name wrong my entire life. As it turns out, “Texas” is not the appropriate spelling at all.

The funniest thing to me is that they spelled every other thing correctly (that I caught anyway). That includes things like Uzbekistan, Tegucigalpa and Turkmenistan (though Turkmenistan looks like “Turkmbnistan” with the line cutting through the letter e). Nevertheless, I thought it was mildly amusing.

And the earthquake must have been huge!! The fault line destroyed all of Alabama and about 95% of Mississippi
Rob: And the people in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan are pretty much non-existent as well. That’s not to mention how devastating it is when you consider that the plastic “fault line” extends into South America as well.
