LifeBridge Church Redesign

I’m proud to announce the redesign of LifeBridgeLex.com, the website of my church in Lexington, Kentucky. It took a little bit of time to finally get everything put into place but we’re finally on our way.

LifeBridge Church in Lexington Kentucky, website redesign

The last edition of the site was designed by my previous supervisor, Jeremy Lucas. He did a great job but after however long it’s been (maybe five years?) it was time for a redo.

At the moment the site isn’t very “feature rich” but now that the basic functionality is there we can start talking about how to really push this site to do amazing things. I won’t spoil any of the secrets at the moment, especially since I’m not the person calling the shots. All I can say is that this site is the presence on the web for a church that has their act together. With all this instability in the world and in church worldwide, I know that’s something I am looking for in particular.

For the tech-curious out there, this site was designed with PHP, XHTML and CSS. To deliver the content I’m using the Text Pattern content management system.

If you’re curious about my involvement in the project, I was responsible for the look and feel, all of the design work, (in regards to the logo, I didn’t design it, I only re-colored the green curve) coding, as well as the photography and some of the ad work.

I look forward to continual work with the church and I hope that I’ll see you all there if you’re ever in town.
